Der Höchstleistungsrechner SuperMUC-NG beinhaltet mehr als 311.000 Rechenkerne und gehört zu den schnellsten Supercomputern der Welt. Er ist Teil der Infrastruktur das nationalen Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) und liefert einen Beitrag zur europäischen Spitzenversorgung im High Performance Computing.

We will upgrade of the SuperMUC-NG Phase 1 (CPU) operating system to SLES15-SP7.

Starting Saturday 14.03.2026 8:00 we will block the queues of Phase 1 and Phase 2 so all running jobs can finish regularly. SLURM will be upgraded. All queued jobs will be deleted and jobs need to be resubmitted after the maintenance.
All login nodes will be shutdown with the start of the maintenace on Monday morning. The file systems WORK and SCRATCH will not be accessible during the maintenance. Please gather…
