Linux Cluster

Der LRZ-Linux-Cluster besteht aus mehreren Segmenten mit verschiedenen Arten von Verbindungen und unterschiedlichen Größen von gemeinsamem Speicher. Alle Systeme haben einen (virtuellen) 64-Bit-Adressraum:

CooLMUC-2 Cluster mit 28-way Haswell-basierten Knoten und FDR14 Infiniband-Interconnect, der sowohl für serielle als auch für parallele Verarbeitung genutzt wird
Intel Broadwell basierter 6 TByte Shared Memory Server HP DL580 ‘Teramem’
CooLMUC-3 Cluster mit 64-Wege KNL 7210-F Many-Core Prozessoren und Intel Omnipath OPA1 Interconnect, für parallele/vektorielle Verarbeitung

UPDATE Nov 18th

Due to severe network failures, parts of CoolMUC-2 are finally out of operation. Affected partitions are cm2_std, cm2_large and cm2_inter. This concerns also housing clusters attached to the same network. Customers are informed by mail.
