Starting with SCRATCH, the both high performance file systems of SuperMUC-NG (phase 1 and 2) need to undergo maintenance from
Saturday 31. of January 8:00 until a2815ak
During the maintenance no jobs will be started by SLURM that require the SCRATCH partition, which is assumed by default. Jobs that do not require SCRATCH can still run, but need to be marked accordingly with
#SBATCH --licenses=scratch:0
in your SLURM job script. For further documentation see
https://doku.lrz.de/list-of-slurm-constraints-and-its-usage-10747322.html
Please note that a maintenance of WORK will follow a week later; you can already prepare your jobs that do not rely on this filesystem accordingly.
Update: The maintenance of SCRATCH finished at 8. Feb. 2026 18:00 successfully. System is back in operatioin.
